Bridal hair, by quiet appointment in Sarasota.
I'm Kallie, and I do bridal hair out of a private suite at Phenix Salon Suites in Sarasota. The whole point of how I work is that the morning of your wedding shouldn't feel like an assembly line. Bridal with me starts with a real conversation, then a trial appointment in the suite, then day-of styling either back in the suite or on location at your venue. It's faith-rooted and unhurried, and it's by consultation only — I take a small number of weddings each season so I can actually be present for the one I said yes to.
What a bridal booking looks like
A bridal booking with me is really four things: a conversation up front (usually a short call or a few notes back and forth so I can hear what you're picturing), a trial appointment in the suite where we build the actual look on your hair, day-of styling on the wedding morning, and finishing touches once you're dressed. I don't sell a one-size package. Pricing depends on bridal party size, whether we're styling in the suite or at your venue, and how early in the morning we start. You'll see the full number in writing before anything is held on the calendar.
The trial appointment
The trial is the appointment that does most of the work. We sit down in the suite for about two hours and I build the look on your hair — not a similar look, the actual one — so you can see how it sits on you, how it feels through the afternoon, and how it photographs in the light you'll be in.
Bring two or three reference photos. If you can tell me about your dress neckline (strapless, halter, high back, low back), bring that detail too, because it changes everything about how the hair sits at the nape. If you have a veil, hair pins, a comb, or any heirloom piece you'd like worked in, bring those to the trial so we can place them while we have time to play. Come with your hair clean and dry, the way you'd normally wear it. Wear a top in roughly the color of your dress if you have one — it helps me see the look in context.
Most brides book the trial six to eight weeks out from the wedding. We can do it sooner if you're traveling in, and we can adjust the look at a second sitting if something isn't quite right after the first.
Day-of: in the suite or on location
For weddings with a smaller bridal party and a venue close to Fruitville Commons, the suite itself works beautifully on the wedding morning. It's quiet, the light is good, and your people can come and go without a crowd. I keep the morning calm on purpose — no loud music, no rush, coffee on, breakfast welcome.
For venues farther out or larger parties, I come to you. I've styled brides at Esplanade and other Lakewood Ranch country clubs, at Marie Selby Gardens, and at several of the downtown Sarasota venues. On-location bookings include travel and a setup window so the morning still feels unhurried on your end.
Bridal party size
The sweet spot for the suite is one bride and two or three attendants — that's a comfortable morning with time built in for touch-ups. Larger parties are absolutely welcome on location, and for bigger groups I'll bring in a partnered stylist I know and trust so we can keep everyone on schedule without anyone feeling rushed. If you're not sure where your party lands, send me the headcount and we'll work it out together.
The faith piece, briefly
Grace Filled is the name of the suite for a reason, and a lot of the brides who find me are looking for a morning that has some quiet in it. I'm happy to pray with you before the ceremony if you'd like — never required, never assumed. If that's not your thing, the morning still runs the same calm way. You set the tone for your wedding day. I'm here to keep it steady.
How to book
The bridal calendar fills up first for the October through May Sarasota wedding season, so earlier is better — six months out is comfortable, a year out is normal for peak weekends. The way to start is to send a note through the contact page with your wedding date, your venue if you have one, and a photo or two of the look you're picturing. I read every note myself and reply within a day. If you'd like to see the full menu of services first, it lives on the services page, and you can read more about the suite or about how I got here if it helps you decide.
For non-bridal appointments, the regular booking page is the right place to start.
