A hair stylist for Lakewood Ranch — by appointment in a private suite.
I'm Kallie. My chair sits about ten minutes from Lakewood Ranch, in a private salon suite at Phenix Salon Suites in Fruitville Commons. I see one guest at a time, by appointment only, with enough room in the day that nothing feels rushed. Balayage, all-over color, cuts, and bridal work are what fill most of my week, and a steady share of the women in that chair drive over from somewhere in Lakewood Ranch. If that's you, the rest of this page is the honest version of what working with me looks like.
Why the women who come from Lakewood Ranch keep coming back
Most of my Lakewood Ranch guests have already tried the busy open-floor salons closer to home. The story I hear is usually the same: running late because the schedule was packed too tight, color rushed at the end of the day, and music and conversation from four stations overlapping at once. The suite is the other end of that. One chair, one guest, and a room that stays quiet. You can read, work on your phone, talk through what's on your mind, or sit with your eyes closed. There's no script.
The faith piece is in the background, not the foreground. I'm a Christian stylist, and that shapes how I run my chair more than what I talk about during your appointment. It shows up as honesty about whether a look will actually work for your hair, a calmer pace, and care that doesn't end when the blow-dryer turns off. If you want to chat about faith, you're welcome to. If you don't, nothing changes. You can read more about my background and how I got into this work on the about page, but the short version is that this suite is the kind of place I always wished I'd had access to as a guest before I was the one behind the chair.
The services I do most
Balayage is the biggest share of what I book — hand-painted, lived-in color that grows out softly and pulls women back every ten to fourteen weeks rather than every four. All-over color, gloss and toner refreshes, root touch-ups, and gray blending are the next tier. Cuts run from a true precision cut to a soft lived-in shape that holds up between appointments. Bridal hair is something I take a limited number of each season, in the suite or on location, with a real trial run beforehand.
You can see the full menu and starting prices on the services page. If you've never had balayage before, I wrote a separate post on what to expect from a balayage appointment that walks through the timing, the cost, and the maintenance schedule in plain language.
How to find the suite from Lakewood Ranch
From most of Lakewood Ranch, the drive is about ten minutes. The two easiest routes are SR-70 west to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard down to Fruitville Road, or straight west on Fruitville from the eastern side of the Ranch. The suite is inside Phenix Salon Suites at Fruitville Commons, 6405 Initiative Blvd, Suite 128, Sarasota, FL 34240. Parking is free and there's plenty of it right in front of the building. When you arrive, you'll walk into the Phenix lobby and head down the hallway to Suite 128 — I'll have it unlocked and ready for your appointment time.
Where my Lakewood Ranch guests live
Guests come from across the Ranch — Esplanade Golf and Country Club, Country Club East, the original Country Club, and Greenbrook are some of the most common addresses on the books. A handful drive in from Lakewood National, the Concession, and the Lake Club too. A few started as one-time visits and have settled into the suite as their regular stylist over a year or two. None of this is a service-area boast, it's just the honest picture of who's been booking, in case you're trying to figure out whether the drive is worth it for someone in your neighborhood. For most of them, the answer landed at yes.
If you've just moved to Lakewood Ranch
A lot of women find me in the first six months after moving. New house, new church, new everything, and the old stylist is suddenly fifteen hundred miles away. If that's the season you're in, a consult is the place to start. Bring a couple of reference photos and a few photos of your hair at its best, and we'll talk through what's realistic in one visit versus a couple of appointments to get there. There's no pressure to book the big service on day one, and I'd rather you leave with a clear plan than walk out of a first appointment unsure about what just happened to your hair.
If you'd like to see the suite itself before booking — what it looks like, how it's set up, what to expect when you walk in — that's all on the suite page. It's the closest thing to a virtual tour without driving over, and it answers most of the questions new guests ask in the first email.
